Hello Everyone:
In practicing the universal Loving Kindness exercise and completing the Integral Assessment, I was very surprise at the out come. The universal Loving Kindness exercise allows me to expand my sensitivity, generosity, and emotional intimacy beyond our close group of friends and love ones. It allows me to share these thoughts and feeling with all human kind. I discovered that I need to exercise loving kindness more often, even to strangers. The area I choose to be a focus of growth and development is psychospiritual. I believe if I focus on the psychospiritual aspect of my life all the other aspects will come together. Some exercises and activities I can implement to foster greater wellness in this area is meditating more, praying more, and participating in prayer groups with others.

Roxanne, great post! I really enjoy the loving kindness exercise because it really helps get outside yourself and think of others. You feel like you can make a difference in other people's lives. With that said I think focusing on your psychospiritual side is a great stepping point. I know that when I am having positive days and really focusing on my blessings instead of the negative I am much happier and at peace. It is easy to be negative, it takes time and work to be positive and thankful so you should be proud that you are working on this part of your life!
ReplyDeleteRoxanne,
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I also enjoyed the Loving-kindness exercise and I also discovered that I need to practice this exercise more often to help me develop on my psychospiritual mind. I feel that this exercise helped me to focus on the positives in my life and how even when I may feel like I am having a bad day someone else may be having a worse day. Thinking of others and being able to help them will also allow us to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually. As Thanksgiving is approaching I find the Loving-kindness exercise to be very appropriate.
